Nicotinamide riboside for Treating Elevated systolic Blood Pressure and Arterial Stiffness in Middle-aged and Older Adults

Purpose

Further assess the safety and efficacy of oral NR (3 month vs placebo) for decreasing SBP and arterial stiffness in middle-aged and older men and women with SBP between 120 and 139mmHg at baseline.

Study Design

Randomized, Double blind, placebo-controlled, parallel assignment

Dose

500mg NR (NIAGEN) 2x daily (1000mg/day total) or placebo
